This morning I found a strange brown box on my door step. It wiggled and jiggled a bit and scared the ever lovin’ whiz out of me. I could have sworn I heard little voices chattering at each other from within this strange box. Curiosity won out over my instinct to run away from such a weird sight, and as I reached out to pick it up it jumped 5 feet up and into my arms.

I sat it down on the counter and began to carefully cut it open. The chatter became louder as my scissors made their way through the tape, but abruptly stopped when I opened the flaps! Easing the tissue paper aside I found the cutest pair of pink dalmatian PJ’s and matching ballet slippers for me and a warm winter shirt for Jase. These couldn’t have put up such a ruckus so I dug deeper.

All of a sudden something furry took a flying leap up and over my head, followed by another fuzzy creature, then something a tad bit slimy!!! They scurried out of the kitchen and made a mad dash for the tree then froze as still as statues.

Upon further inspection (once my heart settled back into my chest) this is what I found.

These must be the chatterboxes! They aren’t saying a word to me but they do growl at the cat when he gets too near the tree!

Now I understand how the magic box was able to jump 5 feet into the air! How perfect for Becca! His name is Puffy! Says so right on the tag!

Thank you Aunt Jackie for sending these Christmas Tree Commandos to protect the tree!

I know the kids will shout with glee when they see their buddies under the tree.

Is getting better all the time!

Not only is my sweet nephew, Gavin, finally home from the hospital but I have won two giveaways in 3 days!

I just got the email this morning from Sheliza over at MomFiles.com that I had won this adorable Portuguese Water Dog from Build-A-Bear Workshop!!!!! I will be shopping there soon for one of the Star Wars bears for Jase. They are too cute to pass up!

Becca got her Christmas present early this year because when a hedgehog is ready for a new home it’s ready NOW! I do not believe in buying pets as gifts on impulse. This was thought out and planned so please don’t email me, PETA. I took Spike in so the breeder could see how well he’s doing and she was amazed by how friendly he was. She loved the bonding pouches we’d bought for them so maybe she’ll start recommending them to her clients.

Mr. Puffers is half the size of Spike but only 3 weeks younger. When we picked up Spike we saw the newborns in Mr. Puffers litter. They were so cute!!! After bringing Spike home and getting to know him and how to care for him we said yes to Becca’s pleas to have her own.

I give you…. MR. PUFFERS!

*Becca is still trying out names for this little guy. I voted Puff Daddy if she wanted to go the Puff route.
