While looking for EE programs for Kyle before we had that meeting with his teachers I came across an online K-12 school. I reviewed the site and gathered more information about it on the internet. It looked PERFECT. Kyle needs a program that allows him to work at his own speed. As it is now in class he’ll get the idea right after the teacher explains it but has to wait around for the other kids to catch on before he moves forward. This makes for a bored Kyle in class.
Kyle, Jase and I discussed it and Kyle was super pumped about it. I wasn’t even going to mention it to his father because I figured he’d be all HELL NO. So we dropped the idea of getting KyKy into the program.
So the other night Kyle was on the phone with his dad and he mentioned it to him. When I got back on the phone his father asked some questions about it and I sent him the link to the school. He and his parents looked it over tonight and viewed the video of all they have to offer.
He just called me and gave me the go ahead to enroll my boy!!!!!!
I’m so excited. I know KyKy will THRIVE in this program! Self-paced and internet based he’s going to love it.
I have all the paperwork already filled out and ready to go so I’ll be faxing it in tomorrow!!!!

It’s been raining non stop round these parts. Wind howling all that good stuff.
This is a conversation between Kyle and a kid across the street. Keep in mind they were both standing at their respective front doors.
Kyle: Guess what?!
Boy: Huh?
Kyle: GUESS WHAT!!!!!!!!
Boy: WHAT?
Kyle: MY..MOM..GOT…CRABS…!!!!!!!!!
Boy: SHE WHAT??!!!!
Kyle: SHE’S GOT CRABS!!!! YOU SHOULD SEE THEM!!!
Boy: Uh OKAY? *walks inside closes door.*
FACEPALM!
Please kill me now. NOW NOW NOW. I don’t want to even go out to check the mail.
I do have crabs… IN MY FUCKING FISHTANK, PEOPLE!!!!!
You all screamed for pictures so I tried to provide. Do you people realize how hard it is to get good shots of fish in a tank? ARG!!! I also took a video. It’s kind of long but I wanted to get some good puffy shots. Vid quality does suck. You get the idea though, right?See if you can find the Becca in my tank.

CatFish
Since my kids did so well on their progress reports I decided to treat them to a fish tank! We bought a 5 gallon one and a teeny tiny puffer fish. It was acting lethargic at the pet store but the guy said he should be ok. I went out today to get some frozen blood worms and a catfish and some crabs. Puffers will eventually eat the crabs when they get bigger. We got home from the Pet Supermarket only to see the puffer dead in the tank. All the kids gathered around me to watch Puff-N-Stuff ride the wild tide down the toilet.
So Becca and I ran back out to Wal-mart and bought two more Puffers. Pet Supermarket didn’t have anymore and the one they sold me was already dying. The ones at Walmart had just come in so they hadn’t had a chance to become “Those Wal-mart Fish”. They are bigger, more active, and more colorful. The tops of their heads glow a greenish color. They are not dyed. I do not buy injected fish.
It’s fun to watch them because their fins look like hummingbird or bumblebee wings. I ordered some snails to breed for their favorite snacks.
The freaking crabs are cracking me up. They will escape if they get a chance. I have short plastic plants in the tank and they are no where near the water line. The crabs love climbing up and “parachuting” off.
I had forgotten how much I love having a fish tank around.
