It’s been 60 days since I have wrapped my lips around the end of a cigarette.

60 days of taking little blue pills that don’t cause erections.

60 days of eating non-stop and gaining about 15 pounds.

60 days of irrational fears surfacing either due to the meds I am taking to quit or the quitting itself.

60 days of waiting for this damn necklace to come in.

Has the 60 days of hell been worth it?

YOU DAMN STRAIGHT.

Just a few Public Service Announcements (AKA What I’m doing on FaceBook) My parents aren’t on FB so I am giving them a taste of what they are missing.

Note to self: Do not try to Veet your eyebrows at 3am and after taking an Ambien. Live and learn.

I like to wear my watch on the “wrong” wrist so that if I die it’ll fuck with the minds of the CSI team. She was left handed! No, she was right handed! No, Grrrrrrrr!

(You know on CSI when it’s a simple car crash and then someone on the team sees a picture of the victim and is all like “She’s right handed! Her watch is on the right wrist! She was murdered and redressed!”)

To save you time here is every Ghost Whisperer ever made. “He/She killed me. It’s his/her/their fault I’m dead.” *Sad story where no one is at fault* “See, it’s all been one big misunderstanding. He/She has crossed over now but they wanted me to tell you they love you.” The End.

Tell Jase I need chocolate cake with strawberries on it before I choke the shit out of him.

(Was having a bad Quitter moment. I was half joking!)

Why the fuck did I wake up at 8am?!?! This needs to be investigated!

(If I wake up before 10am it’s a minor miracle!)

First emotional breakdown. 3 days in. All because Becca said “Again?” When I served spagetti tonight. There’s no crying in cooking!!!

To bring you more crap that will rot your brain!

Yay my shows are back with new episodes! Stupid holidays messing with my viewing pleasure.

Becca is chasing Kyle around the house trying to pry the last Mo’Mint out of his grubby little hands. This could get UGLY. It’s damn fun to watch, though.

My postcards had a slight hiccup. Apparently I am not photo edit savvy enough to know what resolution I should be sending them. I am trying my hardest to get it right so I can continue my journey into your home! So more time for people to sign up! I’ve already found a new blog to read because of this!

Please send all your sticky thoughts to Miracle in the Making. She’s on the verge of finding out if this Clomid cycle worked. Please let it have worked. Please, please, please!

I joined Kristin’s Book Challenge and pledged to read 50 books this year. I put a bookshelf on my side bar so I can keep track of what I’ve read. Already 3 books in YAY! I’m just happy that any book qualifies and it doesn’t have to be Shakespeare or any “deep thought” stuff. I like my fluff!

I’m not officially on a diet but I am trying to lose weight and stop eating so much candy and snack items. Next up, cutting down on my Coke intake. My ulcer will thank me. Don’t worry no tofu or bean sprouts for me in the near future.

I have become an Apples to Apples addict. I make Jase and the kids play with me for hours. I blame Aunt Debi for introducing me to this game. I’ve bought the Party Crate and the A2A Junior game. Now I downloaded the online version. Addict!

Once upon a time Heather wanted a hedgehog more than anything in the world. She did tons of research and tried to convince her husband that bringing in a new pet  into a  house that already had 3 cats was a good idea. VETOED!

Fast forward 2 years to the preset day. We have one very, and I do mean VERY, chill cat. The kids are old enough to be super gentle with such a tiny creature. Soooooooo…….

Guess what I am getting for Christmas?!!?!!?!?!

Here’s a hint….

Here is where I need your help.

The candy has been sorted and most of it eaten. Jase and I took our Trick or Treat Toll. We get first pick out of their loot as payment for walking up and down the streets carrying their crap. Sadly, we didn’t get pictures as I forgot the camera. Just look at last years pic because it’s basically how they looked this year. Tyson’s Haunted House rocked this year and Sheldon will never look at black spandex again without shuddering. This is him in his gimp suit.*

Sheldon hid in various corners as people came into the partitioned off porch area to get to the candy bowl. You really couldn’t tell him from the wall until he came up and tried to hug you. We were two blocks away and still heard the screams. It was awesome. I can’t wait until next year!

This was my favorite book when I was in 6th grade. My teacher would read aloud to the class every day and I was hooked. I ended up checking the book out of the school library and reading it myself because I couldn’t wait to see what was coming next. At the end of the year I came to school to get my last report card and my teacher had the second book in the series and a bookmark waiting for me. She didn’t do anything like that for any of the other kids and it made me feel super special. She was also the one that pointed out I had a vision problem that led me to wear pimped out geek glasses.

Last week in Kyle’s online Lit. class we had to choose a book from a list for him to read and they set his curriculum to follow that book. I saw “A Wrinkle in Time” on the list and Kyle agreed he’d read that one. Off to the bookstore we went to buy him his very own copy. Since I lent the book out and never got it back we didn’t have a copy here and I haven’t read it in years.

He just finished it and he LOVED it. He wanted to read it again and I suggested we buy all the books in the series. We found a listing on Amazon that had all 5 of the books in one hardcover volume. YAY!

I will be reading all of them again!

What was your favorite book as a child and how long has it been since you’ve read it? Is it weird to revisit something you used to love as a child as an adult? I have found with movies that the ones I used to love now kinda suck. I hope that’s not the case here.

It’s time for me to catch up  with you all and the easiest way to do so would be in bullet form. YAY!
  • Kids are back to school! YAYAYAYAYAYAY! Jase was kinda freaking out today because it was the kids first day back.
  • Does it make me a bad mommy that I kicked them out and locked the door behind them only to turn around and see Kyle standing there and saying, “Awwwww, damn!”?
  • Kyle is officially underway in his Virtual School Online classes. So far he’s kicking butt and taking names. I print out his worksheets the night before and leave them on his desk so he can get started on them while I sleep in. I’m such a terrific mom! My “Teachers Guide” for his math lessons is as thick as an Orlando phone book.
  • I handed said math book to Jase and told him to go for it. I don’t do numbers.
  • Getting Kyle’s work station set up has been a chore but now that it’s done it should last him the rest of his schooling life. $400 worth of supplies for 3 kids. HOLY CRAP!
  • Ambien does nothing for me. People have said if you stay up in spite of it you’ll be loopy or something. It doesn’t make me sleepy and I can stay up and lucid for hours after taking it. I took it 4 hours ago and I am still going strong. Am I taking it wrong? Is it supposed to be a suppository or something?
  • I’ve been mentally kicking my brother in the gonads after the comment he left calling me a whiner on my M.I.A post. Then he posted a video of my niece taking her first steps and the ball kicking ceased.
  • After a little digging on our county court website I found the guy who owned our house no longer owns it. He’s not said a word to us about it and rent is going to be due soon. Sorry, I’m not paying a person who’s not even on the deed so he has some explaining to do.
  • Looking into buying a house, yet again. As you recall the last try didn’t pan out like we’d hoped. We’ve talked to the mortgage lady and she gave us the green light to start hunting. Woot! And that’s the last positive thought I will allow myself until our crap is relocated to the new house.
  • Our radiator in our car cracked. Of course it did. Taking it to the shop tomorrow to see how raped we will be and if I should stock up on KY this week.
  • Found out my 10 month old cousin has severe brain damage. It breaks my heart thinking about what she and her family will have to go through but I know they will make it. Details are still very fuzzy but I am hoping it’s something she can adapt with and lead as normal a life as possible. If you pray please do so. If you would just like to send some warm, healing thoughts her way then please do that as well.

Update: I leave you with pics of Kyle during his school morning. Becca doesn’t leave til 8:30am for her bus so she put in an appearance.

The trip was awesome! We didn’t call the house right before we arrived so we were able to sneak up and surprise the kids. I’ve never been hugged so much in my life! My cheeks are raw from all the kisses Seth gave me. The kids had a great time with Nana and Papa but I think we were missed a lot.

I spent a lot of time sitting outside with my mom, my brother, my sister-in-law and her mother. Just sat out there and talked and laughed and caught up. It was great! When we had to leave I almost cried. I never cry! I just wanted to throw my mom in the back of the car and take off.

We went to my Aunt Jackie’s beautiful river front home and had a craw-fish extravaganza! It’s been a long time since I have had good craw-fish! YUMMMMMMMY. We had an awesome time and Jackie and I hugged no less than 15 times. I love her so much!

Jase and I took the kids to GameStop and bought them GameBoys and 3 new games each. Kyle camped out for HOURS on the couch playing his games. He ever moved never made a peep. Mom play yelled at me, “Why didn’t you tell me that’s all it would take?! I’d have gone the second day and bought them those damn things!!!” LMFAO! Sorry, Mom!!!

I got to see my niece, Riley. OMG she is so beautiful! The brightest blue eyes and cutest wicked grin I have ever seen. Becca was all over that baby. Becca amazed us all with how well she took care of Riley. She’s going to make an excellent babysitter one day. It helped that Riley is such a good baby! She only fussed when it was sleepy time. She got in her new walker and just zoomed around minding her own business! I had to check Becca’s suitcase to make sure she wasn’t baby smuggling.

On the ride home the kids were SOOOOOO good! Not a cross word…not a peep. I’m so damn proud of them!

Miss Riley Jane!

Mom said the kids didn’t give her hardly any trouble….

Look what I found on the camera I sent with Becca! MMMMHMMMM!

Papa and Rebel needing a nap! Three kids and no break makes Papa…something..something.
